Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell, Vermont, opens officially for the 2025 season on Friday, May 23, at 10:00 am.

Many special events are planned this year, including the following upcoming events:

• Early Bird Nature Walk, Saturday, May 24, at 8:00 am
• The J. Robert Maguire Lecture featuring Willard Sterne Randall speaking about the subject of his new book, John Hancock. Saturday, June 14, at 1:00 pm
• The Memoirs of Isaac Kendall, Sunday, July 27, at 1:00 pm
