Celebrating the Mount’s 250th Anniversary in 2026

The Coalition has been working with the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation on a slate of programs for the upcoming season, a special anniversary year. As usual, the season kicks off with the Spring Wildflower Walk on April 26. The following weekend will see us tramping around the Mount for the annual Strong Ground Guided History Hike.

The site opens officially on Friday, May 22, with the Early Bird Nature Walk on the 23rd.

Extended Season

This year the site is staying open until Wednesday, October 28, in honor of the 250th Anniversary of “The Mount’s Finest Moment,” the day the forces assembled here repelled the British Invasion from Canada in 1776.
