Vermont’s governor, Phil Scott, has created a commission to plan and prepare for the 250th anniversary of the events surrounding Vermont’s participation in the American Revolution. You can read the Press Release and Executive Order here.

Sadly, the press release does not mention Mount Independence, but it our favorite historic site is mentioned in the Executive Order.
