Mount Independence opens for the season May 28
Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell, Vermont, will officially open for the season on Saturday, May 28, at 10:00 am. The site will be open Tuesdays through Sundays until 5:00 pm through October 9. Admission is now $6 for adults, children under 15 enter free, as do Mount Independence Coalition members.
Coalition supports conservation of metal artifacts
Working with site administrator Elsa Gilbertson, the Mount Independence Coalition applied for and received a grant from Lake Champlain Basin Program to fund the work done by the Lake Champlain Basin Program conservation laboratory in Ferrisburgh.
